Online Database Tutorial

Here is a brief tutorial on how to use the online version of the Triple Parts Database:

Let's say we are interested in finding the part number for the handlebar clamp bolt on an H2B or maybe just a parts diagram for the bolt.

1 - Open the online database https://triplesdatabase.ddns.net/

2- In the "Select Category" field choose "Handlebar" since that is where the part we are looking for is most likely found.

3- For "Select Model" choose "H2B" since that is the model in question.

4- "Sort by" should be "Description" since we are looking for a bolt and want them all to be grouped together. (Descriptions of like parts are standardized.)

5- "Then sort by" should be "Part Number".

6- Click "Submit".

The result is a list of all handlebar parts used on an H2B.

Click the "Ref#" of any part and a parts diagram will display in your web browser showing where all parts are used on the H2B handlebar. The bolt in question is part# 2 in the diagram.

Referring back to the list, "Ref# 2" is at the top and we can see that it is an 8X38 bolt. We can also see two part numbers are shown for the part. The first number shown was the original part used. The "ALT" in the part description of the second signifies that a newer part has superceded the original.

By clicking the "Photo" field on the same line as a part number a photo of the part will be displayed in your web browser.  Note that different diagrams may be used to locate parts for different models even where the part number is the same between models. Zoom tools for your browser will enable magnification of photos and diagrams. "Cntl P" will allow printing of diagrams and photos on most browsers.

Now, let's say we are interested in finding out how many different chain adjusters were used on H1's and when changes occurred.

1 - Open the online database https://triplesdatabase.ddns.net/

2- In the "Select Category" field choose "Swingarm" since that is where the part we are looking for is most likely found.

3- For "Select Model" choose "All 500" since we want to know when changes occurred for various models.

4- "Sort by" should be "Description" since we are looking for chain adjusters and want them all to be grouped together. (Descriptions of like parts are standardized.)

5- "Then sort by" should be "Part Number" or "Model".

6- Click "Submit".

The result is a list of all swingarm parts used on all 500 models. Near the top of the list is "ADJUSTER-CHAIN". We can see that early H1 (H1/A/B/C) had a separate adjuster for each side where all others were the same for both sides (Qty=2).
We can further see that there were three different part numbers used for late 500's (H1D/E/F/KH) and when changes occured.

By clicking the "Photo" field on the same line as a part number a photo of the part will be displayed in your web browser. Clicking the "Ref#" of the part will display a parts diagram in your web browser showing where the part is used on the swingarm. Note that different diagrams may be used to locate parts for different models even where the part number is the same between models. Zoom tools for your browser will enable magnification of photos and diagrams. "Cntl P" will allow printing of diagrams and photos on most browsers.

There are numerous ways to use this database and the examples above are just a couple to help familiarize you with some of the features. All Triple models are listed and parts usage between multiple models can readily be found.
